Inspiration: A bit of everything...for kids

I’m starting off below with a few lovely things form one of my very favorites, Famille Summerbelle, whom we featured last summer. I’ve also thrown in a few crafty links from Made by Joel and Handmade Charlotte and lots of other lovely bits, bobs & pretty shots of fun, fun things for the little ones. Also, I’d like to add a link to OliveUs.tv, a new weekly video series from Gabrielle & Ben Blair and their six very lovely children. I’m using lovely lots, but it is a lovely day today. Ever so suited to a lovely, extra yummy, super pretty ice cream sandwich. Wish I had one. But, I suppose, if I did it would quickly be stolen, fought over & devoured by my  also very lovely pack of 4 wild, barely tamed children. And since, for the first time in just about 7 years, I am not breastfeeding, I really can do without it. Though there are many far more compelling reasons for extended breastfeeding, or even for just breastfeeding at all, I have to say that it was breastfeeding that got me rapidly back down to a size 4 (after gaining about an elephant for each 4 children) and not breastfeeding is moving me rapidly from that 4 through to a 6 and heading straight towards an 8 with no end in sight. Though I expected I might have to leave the country in order to convince my ravenous, boobie addicted 2.5 year old to ever give up breastfeeding, I’m far more sorry to see it go than I expected. She just walked away all on her own one day without a fight. She (shown above, passed out cold on top of her snack, not her mommy) actually said good-bye to her B’s one evening on the way to bed and that was that. She has thrown her devotion towards Thomas, Super Why and Bob the Builder. Such is life. Now, back to the pretty things, thoughts of ice cream and making plans for a return to pilates.
