Buy one, give one is always fun. It's an easy way to do something to help others. I especially love when the something being given helps children. Even better is when it helps teachers too. As the mother of 4 children and with 2 sisters and a mother who either are or have been teachers, I know how hard it can be for many families to provide the supplies that their children need for school and I see how very, very much teachers provide for their students with their very own money. And I think that's just not fair. Yoobi aims to put an end to both of these realities by providing school supplies to children in need, to lighten the burden on their parents and their teachers. And, so, you can help too, just by buying a really beautiful stapler or a super cool pen. Easy, peasy, pumpkin- squeezy.
I read a few statistics on the Yoobi website:
99.5% if all teachers buy essential classroom supplies out of their own pocket
The average teacher spends $485 of their own money each year on school supplies
Each year K- 12 teachers spend 1.6 billion dollars on school supplies

For every school (or office ) supply you buy from Yoobi, an item is added to a Yoobi classroom pack. Every time a pack is filled, with the help of The Kids in Need Foundation, it finds its way to classroom that needs supplies. These gorgeous, happy, fun supplies are currently available exclusively at Target. (Online shopping will be available soon on the Yoobi site, visit to see more.)
