I also listed pizzettas on the menu. These are nothing more than small individual pizzas for the children. Rather than making 3 or 4 large pizzas from the basic pizza dough recipe above, I divide the dough into 5 or 6 smaller balls of dough. You then roll them out or stretch them by hand and they are ready for the children at the party. If the children are interested, I let them roll or stretch the dough. Some of them will always try to spin it in the air, probably with my encouragement. So it is probably a good idea to make some extra dough, just in case.
I then have individual bowls or plates of the ingredients ready, as well as any other toppings they might like and let them make their own pizzas. Each child seems to have his or her own list of ingredients, as well as their own unique quantity and order of placement on the dough. It is both fun and entertaining for them, as well as a good learning experience. Have fun and enjoy.
